Dr David
OWNER & FOUNDER
BDS Dentist. First Class Honours.
David graduated from the University of Otago and has worked in Auckland and Dunedin before settling in Green Island.
He is a strong advocate for helping people enhance their quality of life through oral health prevention and education. He is the current president of the Otago branch of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA). Besides private practice, David teaches in the Dental School as a Senior Professional Practice Fellow. He is also currently doing a Diploma in Oral Implantology (ACDP).
Outside of dentistry, David is an avid angler and enjoys fishing in the gorgeous waters of Otago.

Dr Regine Phua

Regine is highly popular with her patients due to her caring and calm nature. Her gentle and relaxed approach creates a welcoming environment in and out of the surgery. This brings a comfortable and flexible approach to her work.
She loves interacting with her patients to know them more personally and prides herself in effective communication to ensure that her patients understand their dental treatments.

Abigail gained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago before joining the Chew Dental team in 2024.

Pushpreet Ganda
HYGIENIST
Pushpreet focuses on providing comfortable and pleasant gum health maintenance for his patients. He prides himself in his gentle touch, which makes routine scaling pain-free. He is an advocate of improving overall health being through excellent dental hygiene.
Pushpreet is a Canadian trained dental hygienist with over 6 years of experience. He moved from the Rockies to Dunedin and now brings his calm, caring approach to the Chew Dental team. Outside of work, he loves hiking, biking and soaking up New Zealand’s natural beauty.

Sam is our lovely practice manager. From the moment you walk in, you can expect Sam to give you an ear-to-ear smile. She treats everyone with respect and is particularly good at making patients feel at home.
